Our Story
Livingstone’s Camp takes its name from the wider area’s connection to the journeys of Dr David Livingstone and the history of the Linyanti region. A nearby museum shares part of this local history and can be visited by prior arrangement.

Part of the Wuparo Conservancy
Today, the camp forms part of the Whipps Wilderness Safaris portfolio and operates in collaboration with the Wuparo Conservancy. The partnership supports community-based tourism while giving guests access to a remote wetland landscape guided by people with local knowledge.
Our aim is to offer a comfortable, low-key base from which travellers can experience this lesser-known side of Namibia. The ‘Mini Okavango’ positioning helps describe the feeling of the landscape, but the experience remains distinctly Linyanti: seasonal, uncrowded, locally connected and shaped by the natural movement of water and wildlife.
